Brief Guide To Affiliate Marketing
Many people have been using this method of advertising as a way to get their products for free for years. It’s a shame that not more people do it because they are within their comfort zone & don’t believe that amazing things like these can happen to them.
Let’s face it, it’s the real world, of course there will be possibilities of people taking advantage of you, but if people took a little more patience and time to look over what is offered, this problem would not be faced.
This guide is going to show you the way to do it, the proper way. HOW THIS WORKS
The process of getting yourself started is simple as 1, 2, 3:
1.) Sign up
2.) Complete an offer
3.) Refer friends & family to do the same
I’m sure that you might have seen some sites that tell you the same thing, so I will break those points down for you: 1.) Sign up
Enter an email address that is genuine and works, as freebie sites’ admins will verify details once you get enough referrals.
There are different referral sites (or freebie sites) around, most of them offer about the same products, for about the same amount of referrals needed for each; in terms of select.freebiejeebies,
you can select the gifts you like from the search box, so there are more choices of free gifts you can get. 2.) Completing an offer
The way that this method advertising works is because of this part; when people complete offers of companies, such as Gala Bingo, that company gives a commission to the freebie site that the person signed up to.
When that person refers other people to do the same, the freebie site gets more money from
companies for offers completed, and with this money, the freebie site purchases the item of your
choice for you. So you would have only paid £5 or less (depending on which offer you complete)
Some freebie sites can allow you to not complete an offer provided that you get extra 3 referrals instead of completing an offer, if you would like to do that, open a support ticket with that freebie site. 3.) Refer friends & family
It’s easy to refer people, have your ref link as a signature, build blogs, it’s a great chance to be
inventive and creative.
The hard part of this is to actually get your friends & family to complete point 2; completing an offer. Because a lot of people don’t believe it. The easiest thing to do is to get perhaps 3 referrals & get
an iPod Shuffle (that only requires 3 referrals on KudosNetwork), showing them an actual item that you got from this method will be more successful. There are 2 main reasons that people don’t believe this method of advertising & call it a scam: 1.) They didn’t follow instructions / T&Cs properly and got their accounts put on hold:
Some that do sign up are still skeptical and therefore didn’t put their real email address / delivery
address when registering, or created multiple accounts, which resulted in their accounts being put on hold and no item received. 2.) They didn’t complete offers.
This is the most common; many sign up & don’t bother completing an offer then expect an item to be received. Of course this isn’t going to happen!
Notes:
- Only sign up from a computer once; the sites tracks IP addresses to tackle multiple accounts
- Only sign up to that site once to avoid your accounts being put on hold to prevent disappointment.
- Use a genuine email account
- Join forums for more methods of getting referrals, below are just some.
Methods to get referrals:
This is a chance to be creative with attracting people to signing up to your referral links to get you started:
> referral links in your signature in emails
> starting a blog
> creating free ads online / in local classifieds
> joining communities such as exceem to do trades (this is the safest method to getting referrals in
trading because it is forum supported so if there were any problems the forum would be able to help)
> print business cards for free at vistaprint with your referral link
